Porque Viven fundation was born to support the development of pediatric palliative care. From this Foundation we want to create a culture that contemplates and develops the palliative pediatric care from the point of view of the integral care of the patient diagnosed of a lethal disease as well as that of his family. This also requires actions of information, dissemination, exchange and training of palliative care.

As a result of my collaboration as a filmaker in the Porque Viven "Because They Live" Foundation, I would like to tell you a little story.
The one of a few children who for the disease lost the future since the medicine lost the battle against its lethal disease. Little ones who live immersed in an incredibly hard trip without return where the pain, the limitations, the tenderness, the medicines, the music, the tenacity, the game, the emotion, the suffering, the handicaps, the affections, the love, the sadness And happiness are intermixed as life path companions, a mixture of experiences difficult to understand for a normal life!
We know that there is not a great future, but because they are children and although they are enclosed in a body that is extinguished, they are the force of life in its most intense and pure state. They tell us that we must fight hard for the present. That present is a small future, a victory of life and against suffering. The families and environment of these children suffer a tremendous emotional, spiritual and economic burden, it is an over-effort to be alleviated.

La Fundación Porque Viven, nace para apoyar el desarrollo de los cuidados paliativos pediátricos. Desde esta Fundación queremos crear una cultura que contemple y desarrolle los cuidados paliativos pediátricos desde el punto de vista del cuidado integral del paciente diagnosticado de una enfermedad letal así como el de su familia. Eso requiere también acciones de información, divulgación, intercambio y formación de los cuidados paliativos.

Fruto de mi colaboración como filmaker en la fundación "Porque Viven" Porque Viven , me gustaría contaros una pequeña historia.
La de unos unos niños que por la enfermedad perdieron el futuro ya que la medicina perdió la batalla contra su letal enfermedad. Pequeños que viven sumidos en un increiblemente duro viaje sin retorno donde el dolor, las limitaciones, la ternura, los medicamentos, la música, el tesón, el juego, la emoción, el sufrimiento, las minusválias, los afectos, el amor, la tristeza y la felicidad se entremezclan como compañeros de camino vital, una mezcla de experiencias difícil de entender para una vida normal !
Sabemos que no hay un gran futuro, pero por ser niños y aunque estén encerrados en un cuerpo que se apaga, son la fuerza de la vida en su estado mas intenso y puro. Ellos nos dicen que hay que luchar duro por el presente. Ese presente es un pequeño futuro, una victoria de la vida y contra el sufrimiento. Las familias y el entorno de estos pequeños sufren una tremenda carga emocional, espiritual, económica, es un sobre esfuerzo que hay que aliviar.
Si te interesa hacer algo por el presente de los niños de paliativos pásate por aquí, aunque solo sea para ayudar a dejar de ser invisibles habrá merecido la pena. Recuerda !!! Presente ganado, pequeño futuro conquistado !!
